Comment of the Day: Local Control Argument Still Fueled by White Fright

Today's comment comes in response to a video making the rounds on the Internet in which the former president of the St. Louis Police Officers Association suggests that the state representative sponsoring a bill for local control of the St. Louis police department is a closet black radical.

Reader "Callie Ewing" responds:
It's incredible to me that the same arguments (that St. Louis politicians sympathize with black people) from the Civil War are still being pulled out today. It's disgusting, and anyone who engages in that kind of dialogue, especially with the intent to "scare" us into capitulating on local control, is off their moral rocker.
