A man who allegedly pulled a machete on a clerk at a St. Louis 7-11 store yesterday has been charged with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action.

According to St. Louis police, Kramer Martin, 24, entered the convenience store at 6909 Southwest Avenue around 12:16 a.m. yesterday armed with a machete. Martin allegedly forced the clerk to open the cash register and then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. A short time later police pulled over the a containing Martin and another suspect, described as a 28-year-old white male.

Martin, of the 3600 block of Park Lane in Lemay, was being held yesterday on a $50,000 cash-only bond. The circuit attorney's office has declined to press charges against the second suspect.
