St. Louis City Police have arrested a 47-year-old man for the murder of Stephanie Hill, 43, of the 1200 block of Warren in north city.

Hill's death was previously categorized as "suspicious." But today, the circuit attorney's office issued a warrant for Jesse James Beasley, of the 2100 block of McLaren Avenue. He is being held without bond on a charge of second-degree murder.

Hill's body was found in her apartment Monday at 9:30 a.m.

In a press release issued this afternoon, police say that she knew Beasley. The investigation is ongoing, and an autopsy is being performed to determine the cause of death.
