'Tis the season to buy lots and lots of things. Pretty things. Shiny things. Oh, and maybe things for other people too.

Head on over to Foam Coffee & Beer on 3359 South Jefferson Ave., at the corner of Cherokee Street this Saturday to scoop up vintage threads and other goodies at The BIG Tag sale. The sale, featuring more than 2,500 vintage items, will also benefit Autism Speaks.

Representing bygone eras of awesome clothes will be Miss Ohio Vintage, Retro 101 and Dangerous Dames as well as pro-thrifters Natalie Slyman and Holly Scoggins. All proceeds from designer Mandi Cawthon's jewelry collection will go to Autism Speaks. Rounding out the offerings will be MiSu's Hot Mess, which revamps old vintage finds; All Things Dandy, which specializes in mid-century glamor; and Peridot, an awesome crafty hodgepodge store that recently opened on Cherokee.

It's free to get in, and the sale runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. There's an afterparty at 6 at Foam for $5 with a cash bar available. Get there early -- before I buy all the good stuff.
