Welcome Your New Robot Overlords at SLCC This Weekend

The revolution isn't here yet, but rest assured, it's coming.

The St. Louis Regional FIRST Tech Challenge qualifiers take place this Saturday at St. Louis Community College's Florissant campus. That means the best and brightest 14-to-18-year-olds will be showcasing the robots that will one day rule all of our lives.

Teams of up to 10 high school students will present the robots they have built and put them to the test in competitive sports challenges; last year, teams built robots that could shoot plastic balls into goals on a playing field.

If you don't already have big plans for this weekend, plan on heading to Florissant, buddy. If you do have plans, clear your schedule. As Oprah would say, live your best life now: Meet the teenagers creating the robot overlords of the future.

And did we mention there's a LEGO competition in the same place the next day? Oh, yeah. We've got your weekend booked. Find more information at the FIRST St. Louis Region website
