Need any more proof that Americans are destined to keep getting fatter?

Consider the fate of the YouMuseum in Columbia. The $8-million attraction opened just two years ago as a science center designed to promote health, wellness and fitness in mid-Missouri. This weekend the museum shuttered its doors for good.

The non-profit isn't saying why it closed, though some have suggested that ticket prices ($8 for adults) doomed the museum.

"If everything had worked out and we hadn't had a problem with the economy, there's a good chance the YouZeum would have succeeded," former YouZeum board member Jim Ritter told the Columbia Tribune.

Here at Daily RFT we have another theory. We blame Taco Bell. Tell us, which would you rather have: One ticket to the YouSeum or four Taco Bell $2 Meal Deals!?

Why, it's hardly even a fair competition. Burp.

P.S. On second thought, maybe the museum's lame exhibits are to blame. No offense, there Mr. Skeleton.
