Illinois DARE Officer Gets New Patrol Car: 2008 BMW M3

Something tells me the Columbia, Illinois, police department is about to get a few more job applicants now that one of its patrol cars includes a 2008 BMW M3 -- a car capable of hitting 60 mph in 4.3 seconds and maxing out at speeds north of 150 mph.

The Columbia po-po added the car to their fleet when it was seized during a drug arrest. The city's police chief tells KMOX that the department's DARE officer will use the car to warn kids of what kind of toys they could lose if they get involved in drugs. Though it seems to that message might back fire. Are we supposed to believe that the former owner of this car was able to purchase it without the use of drug money?
