City Unveils Route for Second Open Streets Event

On Sunday, June 13, the City of St. Louis will host its second Open Streets event from 8 a.m. till 1 p.m.

What's that? You don't know there was a first Open Streets event?

OK, granted, even event organizers admitted that the first attempt could have benefited from more publicity. Still, as Daily RFT reported, on May 1 some 1,500 people (mostly cyclists, it appears) took the opportunity to walk or ride on automobile-free Lindell Boulevard and Locust Street.

The route for the second event will bypass Lindell for the more residential areas of the Central West End before returning to Locust. Open Streets 2.0 also happens to coincide with the final day of this year's Central West End Art Fair & Taste.

A map of the full route is available after the jump.
