Darlene Noble: St. Louis Homicide No. 44; Unintended Victim in Gangland Killing


Darlene Noble was outside her home in the 4300 block of Lee Avenue in north St. Louis around 11:20 yesterday morning when a gunman opened fire.

The 51-year-old Noble was struck and died in surgery. Noble was talking to a 35-year-old man at the time of the shooting. That man, who police believe was the intended target of the shooting, also suffered gunshot wounds and is listed in critical condition.

The gunman is described as a black male. An investigation is ongoing.
