St. Louis Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce announced yesterday
that she would not seek criminal charges against three SLU basketball players arrested and questioned
for an on-campus sexual assault Saturday.

An attorney for the 20-year-old woman, who was allegedly raped around 3 a.m. May 1 in the school's Grand Forest Apartments, said he and his client were disappointed with Joyce's announcement.
"It appears at the very least that there is sufficient evidence of
violations of university code of student conduct, which, if proven,
would support disciplinary action including expulsion," attorney David Korum tells the Post-Dispatch
For its part Saint Louis University also released a statement saying that it will continue to cooperate with authorities. SLU basketball coach Rick Majerus has remained mum on the issue since news first broke earlier this week. Yesterday he again declined to comment on the matter.
