Mississippi River Bridge Webcam Is Live and Boring

Construction on the first new bridge over the Mississippi in more than 40 years is in full swing. Yesterday two webcams went live, showing the construction of the new bridge from two angles.

The cameras are updated once every 10 minutes and have been running since March 31. As the construction progresses, two additional cameras are planned.

But don't cancel your cable subscription yet.

Watching a bridge get built 10 minutes at a time is not the most exciting thing in the world. So, for your viewing pleasure, we made a short animation of the last 10 days of construction. Check out the animation below.
