Hours after winning the NCCA championship, Duke guard Jon Scheyer sent out a tweet with a phone number, telling his 6,900 Twitter followers to give him a shout out.

Only, here's the joke: The phone number wasn't Scheyer's. It's the digits to Zach Kelly, Scheyer's former high-school teammate from Chicago, who now plays in St. Louis for the Washington University Bears (winners of the NCAA Div. III tourney in 2008 and 2009).

After making his initial tweet at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, Scheyer sent out another message at 12:25 a.m. informing his followers to please stop dialing the phone number. As the Chicago Tribune reported yesterday, Kelly had received more than 2,000 texts and several hundred phone calls -- many from Duke haters -- courtesy of his friend's tweet.

Another tweet, above, followed a minute later giving a more proper "shout out" to his friend Kelly.
