The Show-Me State embraces diversity when it comes to elected officials -- or the candidates, anyway. Who doesn't remember Midge Potts, the transgender war activist who lost to Roy Blunt in the 2006 Congressionals (and is now trying to beat him to Kit Bond's soon-to-be-vacant Senate seat)?

Still. This story out of Jackson County seems a wee bit unusual.
And now for the results...

Cole got eleven votes.

But not enough to out-do his challenger, who racked up 38 for the win.
