Separated at Birth: Kyle Singler and the Spiders from Mars

You know those "Separated at Birth?" things you see all the time, where someone looks just like a celebrity? Well, I was watching the Duke/West Virginia game over the weekend, and I couldn't help but notice forward Kyle Singler of the Blue Devils just happens to look suspiciously like one of my idols.

I immediately jumped up, grabbed my computer, and started madly googling away to try and confirm my sudden epiphany. I believe I have done it. So who is it I speak of as being Singler's twin? Well, I'm glad you asked.

First off, watching Singler shoot free throws, I was suddenly struck by just how pale that guy is. Now, I've seen Duke play plenty of times this season, but for some reason it really struck me in this particular instance. Maybe it was the lighting. I don't know. But anyway, I was marvelling at Singler's near-luminescence, and it occurred to me he actually looked a little bit British.

And that's when it hit me.

Kyle Singler is David Bowie's illegitimate love child with a hugely tall, pale, farm woman from Oregon. I'm telling you.

What? You don't believe me? Fine. Tell me I'm wrong. Go on. Can't do it, can you? Sure, Singler has his hair shorter now, but that just makes him look spikier and even more Ziggy Stardust-ish. Plus, Bowie went through his famous Thin White Duke phase; Singler is a thin white Duke player... Coincidence? I think not.

So: yea or nay?
