Despite an ugly loss last week in the first round of the Big 12 Championship, University of Missouri has earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament.

The Tigers are a No. 10 seed in the eastern bracket and play the Tigers (of Clemson, No. 7 seed) at 1:45 p.m. on Friday in Buffalo. Win that game and Mizzou could face W. Virginia, the No. 2 seed in the bracket on Sunday.

Meanwhile, University of Illinois failed to qualify for the NCAA Tourney but is a No. 1 seed in the lesser National Invitational Tournament.
