Welcome back to the work week. That is, if you're one of the unlucky ones (like us) who doesn't have President's Day off.
Oh, well. Pretend like you have a three-day weekend by checking out our coverage of the past couple days.
Mardi Gras in Soulard
On Saturday morning and afternoon (and likely into the night) the masses converged on Soulard for Mardi Gras festivities, before, during and after the parade down Broadway. We sent two photographers to find the photos that best summed up the partying, and they came back with photos for this slideshow
. As you'd expect with honest Mardi Gras coverage, be warned that some photos are not safe for viewing at work (i.e., there's some nudity, adults only.)
The Hood Internet at the Gramophone
Steve Reidell -- one-half of the Chicago mash-up duo The Hood Internet -- stopped in St. Louis on Friday night, playing to a bustling, near-capacity, PBR-swilling crowd at the Gramophone on Manchester. Even a Storm Trooper
got in on the action. See the full slideshow here

"Bloody Valentine Eve" at the Crack Fox
Tired of all those gushy, huggable, warm, fuzzy connotations of love that dominate the conversation every February around Valentine's Day? You are not alone. On Saturday night at the Crack Fox on Olive Street downtown, a freak-show of sorts went on at the new venue, dubbed "Bloody Valentine Eve"
by organizers. Bizarre performance art and music entertained the 100 or so attendees. Photographer Nick Schnelle went to check it out and brings back these photos: 29-photo slideshow here
