Domino's Delivery Driver Shot; One Of Four Separate Shootings Last Night in St. Louis


St. Louis police report four separate shootings on Wednesday. The first occurred around 5 p.m. in the 4700 block of Bircher in north St. Louis.

According to police a victim described as an 18-year-old black male was at a gas station with two friends when a car drove on the lot. The victim stated occupants in that car began shooting at him as he was seated in another vehicle.

He was shot multiple times in the shoulder and hand and taken to an area hospital by friends. No scene could be located and gas station employees indicated they did not see or hear anything. The investigation is ongoing.

The second shooting occurred around 20 minutes later -- approximately 5:22 p.m. -- at a north St. Louis tattoo studio.

Police say two male suspects were in the Ink Doctor at 8245 N. Broadway when they got into a disagreement with the owners of the business.

According to police, the two suspects described as black males age 20 and 25 pulled a gun and started firing at the business owners, who returned fire with their own weapon. Both business owners -- described as black males age 31 and 28 -- were injured with bullet wounds -- one to the shoulder another to the ankle. The 20-year-old suspect was shot "multiple times" according to police and is listed in stable/critical condition.

Two hours later -- around 7:52 p.m. -- a Domino's delivery drive was shot in the 3600 block of McRee.

Police report that the victim was attempting to deliver a pizza. There was no answer at the door. As he returned to his car, three suspects -- described as black males in their early 20s -- approached and displayed a gun. The victim, described as a white 40-year-old male ran from the scene but was shot once in the head. The victim was taken to an area hospital and listed in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.

Finally two more people were shot around 10:30 p.m. in the 4400 block of Margaretta (near Newstead and Natural Bridge).

A victim, described as a 26-year-old black male, was standing on the sidewalk when he saw the suspect, described only as a black male in his 20s, begin shooting at him. The victim attempted to run from the scene but was shot in the leg. Another victim, described as a 27-year-old black female, was in her car when she heard gunshots and realized she had been shot in the back. Both victims were taken to an area hospital and listed in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
