Red-Light Cameras: Terrifying Big-Brother Surveillance Machines...Or Kind of Effective?

Oh, red-light cameras. Kicked around like a stray mutt in this here blog so very often.  (For example, here, here, here and here; and this whole page).

You are loved in Ellisville at least.

Cameras got installed at three intersections on Clarkson Road in February. According  to police out there, traffic violations at those three peaked at 705 in July, dropping to 531 in November. Crashes are down, too. Check the stats:
