Before heading for the White House, McCaskill announced to her 34,914 Twitter followers that she would forgo Tweeting during the festivities.McCaskill has since updated her Twitter feed with 140 character yarns about David Axelrod ("Talked about family...and healthcare"), Jennifer Hudson ("Amazing"), and Zuckerberg ("So young").
"Trying to figure out if it's tacky to tweet from State dinner? What do you think? I think Mom would say yes, it's definitely tacky. " she tweeted in the mid-afternoon Tuesday.
An hour later, in her last pre-event Tweet, the senator concluded, "ok ok...definitely tacky. But I will report in after dinner. love you Mom."
