Just when we thought Google couldn't get any more loveable.
First George Clooney, now free WiFi. Clearly Lambert Airport was the
place to be in St. Louis in 2009. To be fair, free WiFi
and Clooney were not simultaneous events: the WiFi only started today, and, like Clooney, it will be fleeting, lasting only until January 15, 2010.
Still. Free WiFi! This exciting new development is due to the largesse of Google, which, for the holidays, has placed free WiFi in 46 other airports across the country and also on all Virgin America flights
"We'd like to make the holiday travel crush a little easier and more
pleasant - and what better way to do it then with what we know best,
the Internet?" writes Google.
What better way indeed?
if you should get a case of the Holiday Spirit and wish to emulate
Google's kindness, you can use Google Checkout to make a charity
donation to Climate Savers Computing
, One Economy Corporation
or Engineers Without Borders USA
Google will match all donations and give an addition $15,000 to the
highest-donating airport to pass on to the local charity of its choice.
