Police Chief Delbert Marion said police are looking for the suspect who shot a man at the Bottoms Up Nightclub at 307 Jefferson [Street]. The suspect and victim were involved in a shootout on the club's parking lot. Police were called at 3:40 a.m. Saturday.
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment. No condition was immediately available.
Police recovered three weapons and arrested five suspects from Illinois and Missouri.
"We currently do not have a motive we can put our hands on," Marion said.
Marion closed the club pending a village hearing on the club's liquor license.
Police collected at least 30 spent shells from 9mm and .45-caliber ammunition.
