If you thought the theatrics surrounding Rush Limbaugh's attempt to purchase the St. Louis Rams reached a crescendo last week, think again. The wingnuts are coming out of the woodwork.

Today none other than the Rev. Al Sharpton entered the fray. Blowhard on the right, meet blowhard on the left.

Yes, the civil-rights activist and publicity hound sent a letter this morning to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell urging him to block any attempt for Limbaugh to buy the winless Rams.

Sharpton complained in his note that Limbaugh has been divisive and "anti-NFL" in many of his comments.

No word yet on whether Sharpton is planning one of his infamous protests to block the sale. Nonetheless, we here at Daily RFT applaud Sharpton's action. Why? 'Cause suddenly the 0-5 Rams are getting interesting -- off the field, at least.
