St. Louis Couple Donates $1 Million to MU Vet School

David and Gloria Lowell brought their golden retriever Goldi to the University of Missouri - Columbia back in 2003 for cancer treatment.

Their visit made a big impression on the St. Louis couple. This week MU announced that the Lowells have awarded the school a $1 million in honor of their two golden retrievers -- Goldi and Honee -- that passed away in 2006.

The money will provide fund two scholarships (named in the dogs' honor, of course) for MU's College of Veterinary Medicine. The Lowells, btw, now have two more golden retrievers -- Tori and Lola.
