Attention Photographers: Join Us on Flickr!

Pardon the interruption from Big Bloody news, smoking ban updates and other local bricabrac, but if you're a photographer -- and who isn't these days -- come join the RFT Flickr pool. It's more of a fledgling, kiddie pool right now, with just more than 20 members, but we're growing.

What's the point, you say? Well, as often as our photographers hit the streets and scenes of St. Louis, we're not everywhere and we want to bring you into the loop, too. The easiest way to do this is through super photo site Flickr. So how to join? Well, go to our Flickr Group, Riverfront Times and join.

Add your photos to the pool and soon -- very soon, I hope -- we'll begin picking out the best 10 or so photos added to the pool each week and adding them to a Best Of gallery on this very website. Pretty exciting, right? Yes! You will get full credit and a link back to your own Flickr profile beneath each photo, exposing your talents and photos to people. (You still own all the rights to your photo, we won't use it for anything else other than a one-time slideshow.)

The photos can be of anything in or around or related to St. Louis. You be the judge. Of course there are a few guidelines you should follow, for the benefit of everyone, really. So jump in! Retweet this, share it on Facebook (), send out a MySpace bulletin, or just, tell people. Thanks!
