Proposed Biking Trail Irks Ladue Residents Worried About Outsiders


A proposed biking and walking trail along Interstate 170 that would connect Greensfelder Park in University City to Shaw Park in Clayton is under fire from some people who live along the corridor.

Parts of the $2-million trail, which is being proposed by the Great Rivers Greenway District, would cut through the eastern boundary of Ladue.

Yesterday, Ladue residents and the mayor told KMOV Channel 4 that they're not happy about the trail. Why? It has something to do with making the neighborhoods "runways and throughways for people who aren't necessarily in the area."

Hmm. Who could those people be?
