I'm a bit slow with the "news" here, but you know..."better late than never."

Since last week St. Louis has played host to a team from the PBS evening news program NewsHour with Jim Lehrer. The crew is in town to record two "City Spotlight" segments scheduled to air nationally on the NewsHour April 27 and 28.

Tomorrow at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, NewsHour senior correspondent Judy Woodruff will host a panel discussing the impact of plant science issues on the region and world, and the intersection of science with economics, politics and public policy.

On Monday, April 27, correspondent Gwen Ifill will lead a forum discussing downtown St. Louis' revitalization. The following day Ifill is to host a "town hall" meeting with an audience of 150 people pulled from different background in St. Louis. The overarching theme of all forums are to "gain insights" on how President Barack Obama's first 100 days in office have affected the community.
