, the largest owner of radio stations in the United States with more than 800 outlets, announced yesterday
that it plans to eliminate 1,850 jobs across the nation.
The San Antonio-based company
reported that advertisement revenue fell 7 percent in the third quarter. The 1,850 jobs represents nine percent of the Clear Channel's workforce.
