Stop Procrastinating. Here's How to Register to Vote.

by

Your time's almost up, St. Louis.

The deadline to register to vote in the November general election is Wednesday. The St. Louis Board of Election Commissioners (www.stlelections.com) will be open until 7 p.m. tonight and 10 p.m. Wednesday night. Mailing in one of those cards is probably a risk. Would you put your right to vote in the hands of another person? Filling out a registration card given to you by some guy on the street is probably is a risk too. But I could just be paranoid about such things.

So if on November 4, you want to show up at your polling place without worrying if you're eligible to vote, it's best to do the deed in person. But enough preaching (I just registered last night downtown; I too am a procrastinator.)

Here's an easy way to get registered -- or just to make sure you're registered.

Art the Vote, a Missouri effort to get people registered to vote is best known for its billboards across the state. The organization is holding registration drives tonight across the state.
