In Style: Marvel at shiny newness inside the latest Clayton hot spot Araka (131 Carondelet Plaza; 314-725-6777). Make your way to the jam-packed white pebble-top bar, and order an Araka-tini or three.
In the Garage: Richmond Heights, Maplewood and Brentwood Parks and Recreation Departments are hosting a ginormous tri-city wide garage sale. Pick up a map of participant locations and some free breakfast goodies from 7 to 10 a.m. at The Heights: Richmond Heights Community Center (8001 Dale Avenue, 314-645-1476); then set off to spend your life savings on someone else's trash.
Call All the Scots: Visit the St. Louis Scottish Games and Cultural Festival in Forest Park (south of the Missouri History Museum at Lindell Boulevard and DeBaliviere Avenue) for a day of sheepdog herding and Scotch-egg eating. Game On: Doors open at 9 a.m. for Festivus Con, a celebration of gaming fandom, at The Bluebird (2706 Olive Street) -- recently voted Best Place to See Local Music. Mash buttons, eat food, drink drinks and have a late-night dance party with Witch's Hat. Admission is $10, and the madness doesn't stop until 11 p.m.
