KMOV traffic anchor Laura Hettiger put a spin on her traffic report Friday by filling it with Taylor Swift references — earning praise from no less than the pop icon herself.
As reported by sites including ET Canada
, Hettiger slipped in the titles of T-Swizzle's greatest hits to describe the commute that morning, which just so happened to be the release date for the star's latest album, Reputation
"There is a lot of 'Blank Space' on the roads out there because traffic is pretty light," Hettiger told viewers.
"I don't have to say, 'Look What You Made Me Do,'" she added later, "because traffic looks good all over the St. Louis area."
Hettiger also managed to squeeze in references to tracks including "Shake it Off," "Love Story" and "Fearless" — all in less than a minute. Then she segued right into a promotion for the album. "Go get it, friends," she said, preparing to cede the floor back to the show's anchors. "It's like ten or twelve bucks. You can do it."
"Laura, I knew you were trouble when you walked in," one anchor quipped — leading to an audible groan from her colleague.
Tay Tay, though, was delighted. That afternoon, Swift tweeted that her cousins in St. Louis had sent the report to her. Obviously, it got her seal of approval...
...and Hettiger was ecstatic.

This isn't the only time Hettiger has had a little fun with the traffic report.
"As you all know, I like to spice it up a bit when the commute is a good one, so that's just what I did," Hettiger wrote on Facebook while posting the video. "I doubt it hurt my 'Reputation!'"
