Pokey LaFarge. Foxing. Mvstermind. Jack Grelle. What do these artists have in common, besides calling St. Louis their home? Before Pokey played Jools' Annual Hootenanny or Foxing landed two spots on Spin Magazine's "Best Emo Revival Albums" list, they both performed at the Riverfront Times Music Showcase.

Thanks to the support of sponsors such as Jack Daniel's, Coca-Cola and Guitar Center, the Grove Neighborhood and the St. Louis music community, our annual music event has grown into ShowcaseSTL, a real live music festival.

You'll want to start with the ShowcaseSTL kick-off party taking place tonight, June 16, at Atomic Cowboy. With ten acts across two stages (and two featured DJs), tonight's event offers indie rock, hip-hop, metal, folk and an all-around eclectic mix of performers to start the big weekend with a bang. You won't want to miss Sleepy Kitty, Arshad Goods, Sleepy Rubies and many, many more.

But the real insanity begins tomorrow: Saturday, June 17. With a colossal lineup of more than 100 acts across nine stages, seeing every artist on Saturday is a physical impossibility. While $15 is a small price to pay for the show (hey, that's less than fifteen cents a band), we have mapped out several routes to help concertgoers get even more bang for their buck.

Each "path" below caters to a specific taste or loosely connected set of genres. So if you're not familiar with local music but would like to check out more hip-hop than rock, for instance, the guide below should help you maximize your time at ShowcaseSTL. Check in at any of the venues below to buy a wristband or get yours online, and the fun will be yours.

If you're into a little bit of everything? You might be just as happy wandering down Manchester seeing where the spirit leads you. These are the best musicians and bands in St. Louis. You really can't go wrong.
