Every year we at RFT Music work hard to honor the many local bands and performers who make St. Louis an epicenter for music in the Midwest. So what better way to celebrate our city's art than with a local music festival? On Saturday, June 7, ten venues throughout the Grove neighborhood along Manchester Avenue will host more than 80 bands for a day of music, moshing, dancing and drinking.
Back in February we asked you, the readers, for your favorite local acts. After scouring the list of suggested bands and solo artists, we assembled a nominating committee stocked with venue owners, promoters, record-shop employees, frequent showgoers and recording engineers. In April the list was completed, totaling 140 acts from the St. Louis-area music community.
While not every nominee is available to play, more than 80 have confirmed they'll perform at this year's RFT Music Showcase:

This year RFT hall of famers So Many Dynamos and Pokey LaFarge will headline the showcase's grand finale at the Ready Room. Tickets range from $15 to $20 and are expected to sell out. Grab them here.
