Hawthorne Headhunters, the futuristic, eclectic project made up these days of Black Spade and Coultrain, released its new EP Myriad Of Now recently. The release, which featured guest spots from Tef Poe and Rockwell Knuckles, is the first taste of a full-length by the same name. The group describes Myriad Of Now as, "a fourteen-track collection of Funk, Electro, R and more that speaks on spirituality, sexuality and everything in between."

Today, national music blog the Smoking Section (which has always had plenty of good things to say about St. Louis and the Force in particular) picked up the EP.

You should get yourself to a Headhunters show as soon as possible -- Coultrain and Spade are some of the most effortless, responsive musicians in town. Meanwhile, listen to the EP below.
