Jeff Tweedy Does The Black Eyed Peas: "I Gotta Feeling," "Rock That Body" and "My Humps"

We will stop giving you daily updates on Wilco and/or Jeff Tweedy when it/he stops doing awesome stuff. For your Friday afternoon viewing pleasure, we present the entire Black Eyed Peas cover set Tweedy performed at this week's release of Dan Sinker's The F***ing Epic Quest Of @MayorEmanuel .

As a general rule, we are opposed to stilted readings or singings of hip-hop songs, but there are mitigating factors. First, Tweedy actually makes some semblance of an attempt to reinterpret these songs on an acoustic guitar (well, except for "My Humps"). And second, there's no genuine meaning to be gutted behind these lyrics in the first place. You wouldn't think Tweedy's general furrowed brow demeanor would lend itself to these sort of shenanigans. But oh it does. Behold, "I've Gotta Feeling," "Rock That Body" and "My Humps." Because you didn't know what that line about Pink Dot meant either, did you?
