One can only imagine that Almost Famous scene come to life when ever unlucky band The Sheepdogs finally caught the break they were looking for -- landing the cover of Rolling Stone and beating out fifteen other bands in the process. Readers cast over 1.5 million votes and the Southern rock revivalists (who actually hail from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and not some backwater hamlet in rural Tennessee) now have a major label, the nation's attention, and a date at the Old Rock House. Yeehaw, y'all. On December 7, Fishbone fans will be heading to The Firebird instead of City Museum, where the ska-punk-funk (spunk?!) legends have played on their last few stops in St. Louis.
