Without fanfare, here are the 2011 RFT Music Awards nominees. Bands performing at this year's RFT Music Showcase, which takes place on Saturday, June 4, on Washington Avenue, will be taken from this list. Like they are every year, the nominations are cobbled together from fan suggestions, writer suggestions and the opinions of other members of the music community. Note, however: New music editor Kiernan Maletsky had nothing to do with this, so please don't direct any criticism his way.
