The official LouFest lineup is still a bit off, but the fest is still working hard to improve this year's model. For example, on May 7 and May 21, Off Broadway will be hosting a battle of high school bands. Three groups from each night -- or six bands in all -- will be chosen to play 30-minute sets at LouFest in a side stage area in Area K (which was known as the Kids Village last year). To enter, LouFest's blog has all of the details. In a press release, organizer Brian Cohen says:
"We're excited to be doing this. Playing LouFest should be fun for the bands and inspiring for those who see them. The opportunity for teenagers to be part of a festival like this is pretty rare. But it's something we're doing to help nurture the next generation of musicians in St Louis."
