In a little over a month, bands from all over the world will converge on Austin, Texas, for this year's edition of SXSW. The lineup, as always, has a mix of legends and upstarts -- everyone from the Bangles to Cloud Nothings and Das Racist are appearing. (The list of bands showcasing is eye-crossing.)
Closer to home, Rockwell Knuckles is confirmed for a showcase, and KDHX is again doing a day party at Jovita's in conjunction with Twangfest. But so far, this is the sum total of the local ties to the fest that I've heard about.
So, tell me, bands/artists: Are you going to SXSW and playing a show -- renegade, official or otherwise? Are you going down there to network, or even just to hang out? Let us know in the comments.
