Magnolia Summer just announced it'll be touring the U.K. in February with long-time pals/Undertow hombres Dolly Varden. Both groups will be performing as duos; the Magnolia Summer configuration will be vocalist/guitarist Chris Grabau and guitarist John Horton.
The trek will include ten shows over eleven days and an appearance on Bob Harris' BBC2 show. How did that come about? Well, Harris apparently found out about the group's 2009 full-length Lines from the Frame via a publicist, liked it and started playing songs from it on-air. Voila!
MS is touring in support of two digital EPs released last year, The Slip That Leads into the Fall and The Current Moves. Dolly Varden's tour marks the tenth anniversary of an album called The Dumbest Magnets; it will also spotlight DV member Steve Dawson's solo album, I Will Miss the Trumpets and the Drums.
