Joan of Arc, Nomeansno Coming to the Firebird

If you're a fan of perusing the tour-dates website Pollstar, you might have noticed that a date for Joan of Arc has been listed at the Firebird on November 3. Unlike many phantom concerts which accidentally show up on the site, that show is confirmed. Ticket info TBA. The influential math-rock-leaning indie group has been rather active in recent years; it released a new album, Flowers, in 2009. JOA's Tim Kinsella isn't the only member of his family coming to town this fall, either: His brother, Mike, is coming to town as Owen in September as part of play:STL Fest.

Meanwhile, ahead-of-their-time punks Nomeansno have also confirmed a show at the Firebird, on October 14. The band's only released two albums in the last decade, but remains a ferocious live act. That ticket info is also TBA.
