Things are quite busy in camp Spelling Bee as of late. The clattering noisedream duo just released a free live album featuring performances captured at three radio stations (KDHX in St. Louis, WMSE in Milwaukee, WNUR in Chicago).
Spelling Bee recorded the tracks while on one of the three(!) tours it's been on in the last year or so. The pair has a two-week East Coast tour planned for the summer and is embarking on a mini-tour of St. Louis later this week. On Friday, it'll be at the Schlafly Tap Room, performing on the Cheer-Accident/Conformists post-rock-a-thon. Saturday finds 'em at Lemmons with the Milwaukee band Manic Zamboni. And on Tuesday night, April 20, it'll be opening for Zach Hill of Hella at the Billiken Club. Oh, and it's also making plans to record a full-length and release a split seven-inch with the group mil effect (featuring members of Yowie, Phut and There's a Killer Among Us).
