Before this post devolves into whining that Kansas City gets all the best shows, let the record show that in recent years, St. Louis has hosted Radiohead, Tom Waits and (this weekend) the Magnetic Fields -- and our neighbor to the west hasn't. That being said: Indie-slacker demigods Pavement added more dates to its reunion tour, and announced a KC date at the Uptown Theater on Saturday, September 11. Tickets are on sale this Saturday, and the show is all-ages. Our colleagues at the Pitch are very excited -- perhaps even more excited than the band, judging by this Chuck Klosterman profile of Stephen Malkmus in GQ.
