St. Louis Is Getting a Lilith Fair Date

Stop smirking: The fact that St. Louis snagged a date on the being-routed Lilith Fair is kind of awesome. This year's list of artists playing some (or all) of the dates for the reactivated all-female-artists tour -- nothing's set in stone yet -- is bordering on the incredible: Heart! Cat Power! Loretta Lynn! La Roux! The Gossip! Beth Orton! Erykah Badu! And that just scratches the surface. (Full list after the jump.) Sure, the original, '90s incarnation of the traveling fest had the reputation of being all crunchy-folky-granola, but this year the powers-that-be are definitely skewering diverse. Stay tuned.

Here's Letters to Cleo playing one of the original dates in Boston, back in the day.
