Quick Hits: The Body at Apop Records, Califone Coming to Town, Stace England on NPR

*Tonight at Apop Records, Providence, Rhode Island, screamagers the Body are performing. Ghost Ice and Catholic Guilt are also on the bill. The show's just $5.

*Congratulations to Stace England, who recently appeared on NPR to talk about The Amazing Oscar Micheaux, his album of music about the life and art of the once-forgotten filmmaker. Stream the interview at this link, and don't forget to read our recent chat with him or snag an MP3 from the record.

*Fresh off a tour with Wilco, Califone will open the Luminary Center for the Arts' 2010 Elevator Music Series on March 11. The stark, pensive indie-rockers will be scoring the film All My Friends are Funeral Singers and playing an hour-long set of its original material after. Tickets for the show are $12 and are on sale now.
