(Like last year, A to Z will post a holiday-related MP3 every day of December, leading up to Christmas. If you have any requests, suggestions or files to share, email me.)
Sun 60 was an LA group popular in the '90s. Earlier this year, when singer Joan Jones opened for Big Head Todd and the Monsters, I described the band as:
"... a kindred spirit of Belly, Lush and Throwing Muses, one that matched ethereal vocals with of-the-time rock guitars and big beats. Jones is now a solo artist and writes music reminiscent of her folk-rock roots."
Because it still feels rather warm for it to be the holiday season, this upbeat, guitar-heavy tune feels appropriate. Enjoy!
