R.I.P. Kyle Torretta, Local DJ/Electronic Musician

Sad news to report: Kyle Torretta, a local DJ/electronic musician who performed out at local clubs under several names, was killed in an auto accident yesterday. According to the Post-Dispatch:

Kyle Torretta, 32, of Webster Groves, was killed after getting off work from his day job as a computer technician in the crash along Interstate 44 that snarled traffic Wednesday evening for miles.
Police said that Torretta was driving west on Interstate 44 near Grand Avenue when he attempted to move into another lane. He then realized that another vehicle was in that lane and steered right.
Torretta then lost control of his car, left the highway, went into the grass, across the feeder road and landed upside down on Lafayette Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Torretta could be found performing under the moniker Mr_Angry; a note on his MySpace said sets could be found at www.electricasswhoopin.com, but the link appears to be vacant for now. He was also scheduled to play at All Day Space III at Mercury (1025 Spruce Street) this Saturday, July 11.

[Update, Friday, 10:30 a.m. Dan Robitaille writes in: "There is a memorial mass for him Saturday at Kuttis Funeral home in Affton at noon, and the show he was to perform at Mercury downtown will now have a candlelight memorial session in his honor at 10pm. Kyle had absolutely everything going for him in life, which makes this traffic accident all the more tragic for his wife, family, friends and fans."
