Tonight is the final show for the Bluebird under its current name. The bill features KC's the Republic Tigers, and locals the Analysts and Oceania. As we wrote about here, the venue is taking a couple of weeks off for renovations.

On February 5, the club will reopen under a new name: The Firebird. The opening weekend will feature Gil Mantera's Party Dream, Thor Axe, Superfun Yeah Yeah Rocketship and Jason and the Beast on Thursday; the Feed, Hibernauts, Fattback and Wormwood Scrubs on Saturday; and Target Market, Cuban Missiles and more on Saturday.

Click here to see the venue's fancy new website -- and a schedule with a whole slew of new shows, including Headlights/Pomegranates, Neil Hamburger, comedian Doug Stanhope, the Howlies, Roman Numerals, Traindodge, the Blind Eyes' CD release show and the High Strung.
