The Athens, Georgia-based groups Elf Power and Vic Chesnutt played a fantastic show last night at Off Broadway. Elf Power, which is part of the famed Elephant 6 Collective that includes Neutral Milk Hotel and Of Montreal, opened with a quick set of its driving, tightly orchestrated indie rock. Then the band brought chairs on stage and sat down to play as Vic Chesnutt's backing band. Chesnutt brusquely picked his guitar as he mixed between bits of spoken-word and haunting howls. More detail coming later; until then, here are some photos.
