Bored tonight? Go check out My Brightest Diamond at Cicero's. Says Shae Moseley:
My Brightest Diamond -- a.k.a. singer/multi-instrumentalist Shara Worden -- combines two very different musical influences: a classical background, which lends a highly stylized intellect to her arrangements, and a love of experimental and avant-rock sounds (something that informed much of 2006's Bring Me the Workhorse). On her new album, A Thousand Shark's Teeth, a haunting string quartet backs Worden as she performs eleven somber mood pieces.
Clare and the Reasons, another fantastic band, is opening. This is a radio edit of its song called "Nowhere," which is half of a longer track called "Nothing/Nowhere" -- which is also a duet with Sufjan Stevens.MP3: Clare and the Reasons, "Nowhere"
