Bad Folk Broke Up -- But May Day Orchestra Lives

Yes, it's true, blog commenters: Bad Folk broke up over the weekend. That's quite a bummer, as the macabre-folkies quietly were easily one of the best bands in town -- especially live.

However, all is not lost: Singer Tim Rakel is going to continue playing with May Day Orchestra (a project also featuring members of Rats & People); its next show is Sunday, November 9, at Off Broadway. Rakel will also be doing a show at the Schlafly Tap Room on November 22 with Bridgeton Air Defense and Grace Basement.
